Greetings All,

I’ve just returned from the Quilters’ Gathering. No quilts strong on African Fabric…we’ll have to work on this for next year’s show. But I handed out many cards and encouraged folks to send in snapshots of their quilts using African Fabrics for the soon to be launched Gallery Section of this blog.

Today we look into the response by some Africans to the Obama election and the passing of the great Miriam Makeba, singer and human rights activist from South Africa.
